Université et sélection en GB

Moins d’étudiants sur les bancs de la fac en Angleterre ? The number of UK students entering postgraduate study plunged by 8 per cent last year, new figures show. Almost 16,000 fewer British students started postgraduate courses at UK universities in 2011-12 compared with the previous academic year – falling from 200,875 to 185,120, according to data released today by the Higher Education Statistics Agency. However, despite the fall in postgraduate study, overall student numbers remained stable in 2011-12 compared with the previous year as a result of a 1 per cent increase in undergraduate numbers. Almost 2.5 million people, including 302,680 non-EU students, were enrolled in a higher education course in 2011-12, roughly the same level as in 2010-11drop.
